When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those items are then sold at our Family Stores. And the proceeds are used to fund our Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those in the grip of addiction find help, hope, and a second chance at life.

The Salvation Army is well known for its network of thrift stores or charity shops, which raise money for its rehabilitation programs by selling donated used items such as clothing, housewares and toys. The Salvation Army has a history of free rehabilitation from alcohol and drug abuse. Thrift stores provide the revenue to run the Adult Rehabilitation Centers known as ARCs. The ARCs, found in many global locations, are work and Bible-based operating with the 12-step program, and offer residential facilities. Clothing collected by Salvation Army stores that are not sold on location are often sold wholesale on the global second hand clothing market.
